Michéle Scholl
Doktorand/in, Universität Augsburg - Institut für Materials Resource Management
I am a PhD candidate in the field of materials science. My topic it 3D-printing of nanocomposites of 2D materials (like graphene) in a ceramic matrix. Already as a child I knew I wanted to become a researcher in STEM. I could never decide between physics, chemistry or engineering but I found the perfect combination of those in materials science. During my studies I was working in different fields, like biomaterials, high entropy alloys and hydrogen storage materials. In the end I found my passion to be for 3D printing so I chose a PhD topic in this area. Now I am not only working with the printers but also develop new materials that have tailored functions according to their composition and structure!
