Kirsten Emler
PhD candidate, Universität Heidelberg/ Organisch-Chemisches-Institut
Hello, my Name is Kirsten, I am 33 years old and I am a PhD Student in my last year in organic Chemistry at the University of Heidelberg. Before my studies I did an apprenticeship as a chemical labassistent at Roche Diagnostics in Germany. I have a lot of fun to do experiments with older kids and children. I usually use only things from the supermarket, which are not harmful and easy to get. Also not expensive. After the experiments, I explain the reason to them with easy reaction formula. I can either give a look into the University and what it means to study here. Talking about beeing a student, the allday life as a chemsitry student, and the opportunities during their studies and afterwards. If you have any questions, please contact me.

In a video conferencing call...

...I am happy to talk about my research.

...I can show live experiments or equipment, e.g. Photochemitry, Equipment in my lab (evaporator, Fumehood, Columnchromatography, NMR,) nice experiments for at home with things from the supermarket,

...I am happy to answer questions about university and career-related questions.
