Ich habe jüngst meine Masterarbeit abgeschlossen und arbeite seit Juni 2019 als Doktorand am Lehrstuhl für Datenbanksysteme in Heidelberg. Zur Informatik hat mich hauptsächlich mein Mathelehrer im Gymnasium bewegt. Er bot neben den regulären Unterrichtsstunden zusätzliche Programmierkurse für Schüler an. Zudem war ich während meines Studiums für ein Jahr an der University of Toronto, wo ich feststellen musste, dass sich das Studienklima in verschiedenen Ländern sehr stark unterscheiden kann. Diese Unterschiede (aber auch Gemeinsamkeiten) sind ein Thema von großem Interesse für mich! --- I've recently finished my Master's thesis, and started as a PhD student at the Database Research Chair in Heidelberg in June 2019. The main reason I'm working as a computer scientist today is perhaps my maths teacher from high school. He offered additional programming courses for interested students. I've also been abroad for a year at the University of Toronto, which really opened up my eyes towards different student cultures, a topic that I'm highly curious about nowadays.
