Andreas Prescher
PostDoc, Jacobs University Bremen
Hi there, After school I did a practical training as a Biological Technical Assistant. Then I moved on to study biology where I got in touch with plant biology as a student assistant. Since then I have mostly worked with plants. During my doctoral research project I have investigated the molecular mechanism that allows plants to memorise certain past events to optimise their response to a future event. Currently I am working on a project that investigates the function and the molecular mode of action of a particularly interesting protein from cocoa (unfortunately I cannot talk about this project in detail, due to its relevance for an unpublished patent).

In a video conferencing call...

...I am happy to talk about my research.

...I am happy to answer questions about university and career-related questions.

...I am happy to speak to others (e.g. to journalists, museums).
